Publish Results: Gantt Charts
You use the Gantt Charts tab to export the schedule to Microsoft Project.
Note: To export your schedule to Microsoft Project, you must have Microsoft Project 2000 or later installed.
The Gantt Charts tab includes a section at the top which contains general output options and a section at the bottom which contains the Mining activities, Ancillary activities, and Polygon descriptions tabs. By default, the Mining activities tab is displayed. To choose options for the Ancillary activities and Polygon descriptions, click the appropriate tab.
General Gantt Chart Options

The schedule is output to Microsoft Project. |
| Output method |
The method by which the project is output. Options are:
- Create new project: Creates a project file for the schedule results.
- Output to existing project: Connects to an existing project to which the scheduling results are output. The project you want to connect to must be open in Microsoft Project when you click Output to Project, or a new project file is created.

| Microsoft Project name |
The name of the existing project to which you want to connect.
Note: This field is available only if the Output method is Output to existing project.

| Level of detail |
The level of detail which is output for the schedule. Options are:
- Mining locations: Each mining location appears as a single task in the project.
- Benches / polygons / solids: Each bench, polygon, or solid appears as a single task in the project.

| Show Resources |
- Selected: The resources active in the headings and locations are displayed.
- Cleared: The resources active in each location are not displayed. The average mining and activity rates are displayed.

| Update calendar |
- Selected: The Microsoft Project calendars are updated with the calendars defined in MineSched.
- Cleared: The Microsoft Project calendars are not updated with the calendars defined in MineSched. If you have chose to connect to an existing project, and you know that there have been no changes to the calendars in MineSched, you can choose not to update the calendars in Microsoft Project to improve the processing time.
Note: This option is available only if the Output method is Connect to existing project.

| Show summary tasks |
- Selected: The mining locations are created as summary tasks in the project.
- Cleared: The mining locations are not created as summary tasks in the project.
Note: This option is available only if the Level of detail is Benches / polygons / solids.
